About me
With over 25 years of experience in education, Rebecca Lindgren has dedicated her career to fostering a love of literacy among students and teachers across three different states. Where she has collaborated with hundreds of educators and inspired thousands of learners, from preschool to adults.
Rebecca has worn many hats throughout her career—classroom teacher, interventionist, ESL teacher, building-level coach, district-level coach, and facilitator. Currently, she serves at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in the Office of Early Learning, where her focus remains steadfast on literacy, including the unique needs of students learning English. In her position, Rebecca supports school districts with the sustainability of the science of reading, primarily through the facilitation of LETRS sessions for new educators.
What truly sets Rebecca apart is her deep passion for evidence-based practices in literacy and her commitment to continuous learning as a practitioner. When she’s not learning or sharing her expertise on literacy, Rebecca enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her furry and feathered pets.
