In this session, participants will be engaging with various concepts of planning for differentiated learning needs. Exploring how providing voice and choice in content, process, product, and environment can provide more equal access and success for students will be our main focus! Attendees will walk away with super practical strategies and printed resources from Dr. Carol Ann Tomlinson.

This presentation, titled "Cultivating Teacher Excellence: How Appalachian State’s College of Education and the Academy at Middle Fork Lab School Collaborate to Empower Pre-Service and Beginning Educators," explores the dynamic partnership between the university and the lab school in supporting teacher development. It highlights how the College of Education provides targeted mentorship, professional development, and hands-on teaching experiences for pre-service educators, while the Beginning Teacher Support Program (BTSP) at the lab school offers ongoing coaching and instructional feedback for early-career teachers. By blending innovative teaching practices with reflective supervision, this collaboration helps cultivate skilled, confident educators prepared to excel in the classroom.
