Unlocking Potential: The Role of Caldwell County Economic Development

This presentation is designed to provide an introduction to the work of the county’s economic development department, an overview of Caldwell County’s economy, and a roundup of the industries present in Caldwell County. While manufacturing is still an important industry locally, Caldwell County’s economic has diversified since the Great Recession. The county has seen growth in the biopharmaceutical industry and other industries related to advanced manufacturing. Participants will  hear from Economic Development Director, Ashley Bolick about current projects in economic development, career opportunities for CCS students, and how community members can stay connected to our work.

You will observe a seminar being conducted with elementary students and be provided with a way to quickly assess your students through self-reflection.

Behavior Interventions and De-Escalation Techniques for Challenging Students

This session is designed to help staff understand that behaviors are a form of communication. The premise is that if we can intervene appropriately, we can keep behaviors from escalating and intensifying. Common techniques to assist with deescalating students will be discussed, as well.
